Which solar system is right for me in Costa Rica?
It depends on your monthly consumption, how many hours of backup you want when the power goes out and whether you need 110 V or 220 V. As a guide, the 1 kW and 3 kW systems are ideal for small homes, while the 5 kW, 8 kW and 10 kW systems cover large homes and small businesses.
What happens when the grid power goes out?
With well-sized off-grid and hybrid systems, your priority loads (lighting, fridge, internet, some appliances) keep running on the batteries and solar panels, reducing the impact of power cuts.
Can I monitor my solar system from my phone?
Yes. The systems include a WiFi Plug or communication modules that let you see the status of the inverter, the batteries and the solar production from your phone, tablet or computer through your home WiFi network (2.4 GHz).
What maintenance does a solar system need?
Very little: clean the panels every 3 to 6 months (more often in dusty areas or in the dry season), check connections and protection once a year and keep an eye on the system from the monitoring app. LiFePO4 lithium batteries need no water top-ups. We offer maintenance service for all our solutions.
How long does the installation take?
It depends on the size of the project: a small system is installed much faster than one with several inverters or special roof work. We give you the estimated time in the quote, together with the assessment of your case.
How much does the system produce on cloudy days?
Panels keep producing under clouds, but less: on a very cloudy day output can drop to a fraction of a sunny day (roughly 10% to 30%). That is why we size the batteries and panels for your consumption and the sunlight in your area, so your important loads keep running.
